High Yield Interest Checking in Phoenix
Looking for a good, high-yield checking account in this economy. There's a Phoenix bank called Bank 1440 that is offering a 5.01% checking account (up to $25,000). The requirements seem easy to meet. Yo nave to use use your debit card several times per month and set up an automatic payment/withdrawal. No big deal for someone like me.
What's with 1440 anyway? From what I understand it stands for all the minutes of the day. You can bank 24 hours a day with them. Their on-line banking software is made by Intuit - the company that makes Quicken. It's easy to use and from what I understand exports data to Quicken quite easily.
